“Support local restaurants, eat well, and keep your money in the community.” This is the prominent tagline seen on Love Local Delivery’s website and it is exactly what they do! Love Local Delivery launched in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Local restaurants partnered with a local designated driver service Responsible Choice to bring you great food from restaurants right in your backyard and to keep the money in the communities you love.
The premise is simple: this service allows restaurants to make money off their orders and pays the drivers a decent wage. Larger, app-based food delivery services charge around 30% of the bill back to the restaurant resulting in them not making a lot of money. In a time when supporting local businesses is so crucial, we are so proud of services like this that are finding ways to help their local favourites maintain their profits and keep their doors open.
