Walking into Hintonburg Pottery, you instantly feel the creative juices flowing. With unique pottery pieces lining the walls, pottery wheels along the back and exposed brick for an added coziness, you’ll want to spend your entire day there… and you can!
Opening up in 2012, Hintonburg Pottery became a staple in our creative community. You can buy pieces made by others or try your hand at making your own! They offer classes, workshops and camps so you can learn from some of Ottawa’s best potters.
If you are more experienced you can get a membership and rent studio time to work on your own pieces.
Since opening, Hintonburg Pottery has been making a splash on the world stage getting noticed in the New York Times. Even with their success, they stay true to their Ottawa roots and often sell for local artists. Although, if you have something special in mind, you can commission some of the artists to help you build that perfect piece.
The studio includes Japanese Whisper Wheels, a slab roller and the perfect lighting to see the fine details in your piece.
Check them out today to try your hand at pottery, buy a one-of-a-kind item or simply to admire the beauty in the shop.
